The first qualifying for the tournament was held last Sunday, 2 August 2009 and attracted more than 20 gamers. Thanks to Hafiz, Salam, Grey, Effy, G, Ahmad, Rahim, Kepet, Amir, Azmir, Zaid, Moonspell, MKA, Jinggo, Rafa, Allen, Zamri, E-One, Epol, Rahul & Edv.
The qualifying started with 4 group in the morning and another 5 more group in the evening. Top 2 of each group qualified to the next round and battled to secured the 8 slots from this qualifying.
Group A & B (which had 5 particiants) had to wait until the last game in order to know who will qualified to the final. At the end, for Group A, G was the group champion and 3 gamers; Allen, Hafiz & Amir were tied for their points and Amir was the one who qualified based on his goal different (GD = 6) compared to others (GD = -2 and GD = -3). In Group B, G also managed to become the group champion and 2 gamers; Effy & Zaid were tied for their points and Effy was the lucky one with GD = 4 compared to Zaid GD = 1.
